This adaptor plate covers up the previous mounting standoffs in the PSU area, and allows you to install a Meanwell EPP-500-48 PSU in place of the 200w spindle PSU on the Carvera. This is required for running higher power Spindle motors, or for driving the stock motor beyond it's stock specifications.
Install threaded M4 inserts into the higher standoffs to re-use the existing hardware.
The EPP-500-48 uses the same input plug as the previous psu, but a m3 screw terminal for the output, crimp an appropriate connector for the output. No other wiring modifications are required.
The spindle motor controller will need to be relocated as there is insufficient space. There is sufficient high clearance to re-install the stainless steel box cover with this adaptor.
